Custom Quartz Blocks, Blanks & Ingots

Rough-sawn or semi-finished quartz stock, supplied with a defined machining allowance for further cutting, grinding, or polishing on your side or ours.

Blank size and machining allowance are quoted together — the allowance is stock left specifically to be removed in your next machining step, not a tolerance on the finished part, so don't treat the blank dimension as the final size.

Available Shapes, Sizes and Surface Options

Blocks (rectangular), round blanks, and as-cut irregular stock are all available. Surface is as-sawn by default; a single ground reference face is available where you need a flat starting surface for fixturing before further machining.

Machining Allowance and Surface Condition

Machining allowance is how much extra material is left on each dimension so saw marks and minor surface irregularities from cutting can be ground away in the next step — it's sized to your final part's tolerance, not a fixed default. Tell us your finished-part dimensions and we'll confirm the allowance needed. Internal defects (inclusions, bubbles) and surface appearance are checked against a stated acceptance criteria, confirmed per application rather than a single universal grade.

Quartz Blank and Block Forms

Ingot-form stock (larger, less-defined outer shape) is available where the part will be substantially reshaped in machining; block or disc-form blanks are closer to final shape and reduce machining time. Which form makes sense depends on your final part geometry — send a drawing and we'll recommend the blank form that leaves the least material to remove.
