Complete quartz assemblies built around a sintered frit — filter funnels, in-line filters, and gas bubblers — selected by pore grade and the tube or funnel geometry your process needs.
The frit's pore grade and the assembly's tube or funnel geometry are chosen together — the same pore grade behaves differently depending on how much liquid or gas has to pass through it in your specific setup, so send flow requirements alongside pore grade.
Selecting Frit Size and Porosity for the Process
Filter funnels use a frit at the base of a cone for vacuum or gravity filtration; in-line filters use a frit inside a straight tube section for filtering a flowing stream; bubblers use a frit at the end of a submerged tube to diffuse gas into a liquid. Which assembly type you need is usually obvious from the process, but pore grade still needs matching to what's being filtered or diffused — coarse for flow priority, fine for particle retention or fine bubble size.
Quartz Fritted Filters, Funnels & Bubblers Functional Standard & Manufacturing Limit
The table above is what's repeatable without added lead time. Pore size range is the figure most likely to need confirmation at the finest grades — very fine frits are more sensitive to sintering consistency, which affects lead time on tight-tolerance orders.
Frit Integration, Welding and Custom Assemblies
The frit (disc, plate, or rod, depending on assembly type) is fused into the tube or funnel body by hot welding — the weld zone is checked as carefully as the frit itself, since a weak weld is a common failure point under vacuum or pressure. Joint sizes on any ground-joint connections are confirmed against your equipment. Before shipment we check pore grade consistency, frit position, weld integrity, joint fit, overall dimensions, and leak condition where the assembly is meant to seal.
