Custom Quartz Evaporating Dishes
| Parameter | Typical Range |
|---|---|
| Diameter | 50–150 mm |
| Depth | 20–50 mm |
| Capacity | 50–500 mL |
| Wall thickness | 1–3 mm |
| Rim | Plain or with pouring spout |

Shallow quartz dishes sized by diameter and depth for evaporation, ashing, or heating over a broad surface area.
Capacity follows from diameter and depth together, not either one alone — an evaporating dish is defined more by its shallow, wide proportions than by volume, so specify diameter and depth rather than target volume by itself.
Rim, Bottom and Spout Options
A pouring spout on the rim is standard, for transferring contents after evaporation without a separate tool. Bottom is typically slightly rounded or flat depending on how the dish sits on a hot plate or stand — flat gives better stability, rounded distributes heat slightly more evenly.
Quartz Evaporating Dishes Size / Capacity / Joint Standard
Diameter is the dimension that most affects evaporation rate (more surface area, faster evaporation at a given depth), so if your process has a target evaporation time, that's more useful to share than a target capacity alone. Fabrication is hot-formed from plate or tube stock, with the rim fire-polished and the bottom shaped for stability. Before shipment we check diameter, depth, stability (sits flat, doesn't rock), wall thickness, rim condition, and appearance.
Diameter, Depth and Base Stability Determine the Useful Surface Area
| Controlled Feature | Reference Capability / Requirement |
|---|---|
| Capacity | 30, 60, 100, 150 or 200 mL reference series |
| Diameter × Height | Finished body dimensions stated with nominal capacity |
| Depth | Shallow or deep form selected from evaporation rate and splash control |
| Wall / Bottom | Specified separately for heating and support |
| Rim | Plain lip or formed pouring spout |
| Base | Stable contact area matched to the heating surface |
| Material | Transparent JGS2-class fused quartz option |
| Capacity | Nominal unless a calibrated volume is specifically requested |
Choose Dish Depth Around the Evaporation Method
| Nominal Capacity | Form Direction | Required Confirmation |
|---|---|---|
| 30 / 60 mL | Small shallow or deep dish | Heating surface and sample load |
| 100 mL | General laboratory dish | Diameter, depth and spout |
| 150 / 200 mL | Larger concentration vessel | Base support and handling |
| Custom | By drawing | Special lip, cover or process fit |
