Top diameter, cone angle, and stem dimensions are quoted together — a wider top at the same cone angle needs a proportionally longer cone, which changes overall height. Send target overall height alongside top diameter if height matters for your setup.

Filter-Funnel and Fritted-Funnel Designs

Plain funnels (no frit, for pouring or simple gravity filtration with separate filter paper) are standard. Fritted funnels have a sintered quartz disc built into the cone for filtration or gas diffusion without separate filter media — see our Quartz Fritted Discs and Fritted Filters, Funnels & Bubblers pages for frit grade selection if you need one.

Quartz Funnels Size / Capacity / Joint Standard

Stem OD and length are usually set by what the funnel fits into (a flask neck, a joint, or tubing) rather than chosen independently — send the receiving opening's size alongside your funnel spec. Fabrication is hot-formed from tube stock, with the cone drawn, the stem formed, and (for fritted funnels) the frit welded in before final fire-polishing. Before shipment we check top diameter, cone form, stem fit, joint size, weld points (fritted units), and appearance.
