Custom Quartz Test & Digestion Tubes
| Parameter | Typical Range |
|---|---|
| OD | 10–30 mm |
| Length | 100–300 mm |
| Wall thickness | 1–2 mm |
| Bottom shape | Round or flat |
| End | Open, or fitted with cap/joint |

Quartz tubes closed at one end for sample testing or acid digestion, with the bottom shape and wall thickness suited to heating and handling.
OD, length, and wall thickness are quoted together — a longer tube at a given OD needs proportionally more wall thickness to resist bowing during heating, so confirm all three rather than length alone.
Bottom Shapes, Wall Thickness and End Designs
Round-bottom tubes distribute heat more evenly and are standard for digestion work; flat-bottom tubes stand unsupported for general test use. Open ends are standard; a cap or ground joint is available where the tube needs to seal during heating or storage.
Quartz Test & Digestion Tubes Size / Capacity / Joint Standard
Wall thickness generally needs to increase for tubes used in acid digestion at high temperature, versus simple room-temperature sample holding — tell us your process temperature and we'll confirm the wall thickness needed. Fabrication is cut-to-length tube stock with the bottom formed and fire-polished, and the open end ground or fitted as specified. Before shipment we check OD, length, wall thickness, bottom condition, end finish, and appearance.
Tube OD, Length and Closure Must Match the Digestion Position
| Controlled Feature | Reference Capability / Requirement |
|---|---|
| Instrument / Rack | AAS-, ICP- or digestion-block position identified in the RFQ |
| OD × Length | Finished tube dimensions matched to the holder and heating zone |
| Wall Thickness | Specified with heating method and sample volume |
| Bottom | Round, flat or conical end geometry |
| Opening | Plain, threaded or ground-joint connection |
| Cut Length | Datum and end finish stated for rack consistency |
| Material Requirement | High-purity, low-background quartz requirement stated with the analytical method |
| Temperature Duty | Heating cycle supplied by the customer; no universal duty assigned to every closure |
Start from the Rack and Heating Method
| Configuration | Use | Critical Inputs |
|---|---|---|
| Open test tube | General heating and sample handling | OD, length, bottom and wall |
| Threaded digestion tube | Closed analytical preparation | Cap system and thermal cycle |
| Ground-joint tube | Connected or reflux work | Joint size and mating part |
| Custom rack set | Multi-position digestion block | Rack drawing and tube-to-tube length consistency |
